THESE ARE THE 10 MOST POPULAR FASHION BRANDS

Fendi has leapt into the world’s 10 hottest brands following months of high-profile love from the Kardashian-Jenners, according to the latest Lyst Index, released exclusively to Vogue. In the second quarter of 2018, the Italian fashion house became the eighth most popular brand in the world, moving up from number 17 in the previous quarter

Jewelry brand Nectar Nectar is taking us on an artsy museum trip, without us even having to leave our desks. The statement jewelry is characterized by unique textures and detailing, exotic gemstones and 18-Karat gold plating, and these particular items have a Calder-esque approach that mixes free form metals and mobile-like elements on a neck wire. Designed in New York and ethically hand-crafted in India using Fair Trade practices, Nectar Nectar embodies a contemporary aesthetic with a hint of rich traditions.

THE SCRUNCHIE IS OFFICIALLY BACK, HITS MIAMI SWIM WEEK SS19

Some fashion designers showing at Miami Swim Week kicked it ’90s style, with scrunchies, visors and micro sunglasses. Below, some items off the runways and presentations at: Australian Fashion Palette‘s designers VDM The Label, TJ Swim, Aqua Blu Australia, and Lil & Emm and from the Free Bella presentation.

SCRUNCHIES

VDM The Label put its models in red, white and black scrunchies, a 90s throwback that can be found on Amazon for a mere few dollars. Truth be told, scrunchies are much more delicate on hair than rubber band pony-ohs, so we’re rooting for this one.

CLEAR VISORS

At VDM The Label, sporty swimsuits kept the theme going with clear red visors. Visors have already shown up on fashion runways, including at Dior, Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger, not to mention on Kim Kardashian. So it must be a real thing.

CLEAR AND PLASTIC SHOES

It makes sense to frolick by a pool in waterproof shoes, no? But these barely there plastics serve to elongate legs and put focus on the swimsuit itself.  TJ Swim and Free Bella.

MICRO SUNGLASSES

They might not provide much, if any, sun protection but they’re certainly a look. Micro sunglasses in horizontal ovals or geometric shapes add a retro flair, and a touch of fashion when jazzed up with color. From left: TJ Swim, VDM The Label, VDM The Label, VDM The Label (From the Fashion Palette Runway Show)
